I was just surprised that it worked at all. The should not be used, period. Or that the 9550sx/950se doesn’t support drives over 2TB.
The cards are listed on the FreeBSD 10 compat list. Try removing one of those disks and attaching it to a 9550sx/9590sf SATA port and see if it is still readable.
