Is it possible to have Windows 7 recognize it correctly as such? Update the drivers for the Alesis Q49 midi controller and check if the issue persists.

November 17th, 1. I have the same issue you posted, microphone works perfectly but is “recognized” as an Unspecified Device. With the logitech AK microphone in order to turn it on there is a button on the top of it which you have to press, once pressed it lights up and you can clearly see it is turned on, in the past it would always shine fine when I turned it on, but now a days when I turn microophone on it appears on and yet there is no light and it doesn’t work.

In Device Manager under “Sound, video and game controllers”s it is listed as USB Audio device with no problem and with driver from Microsoft version 6.
