The Ecu connector has been cut from the loom, I assume to remove it from the previous car. Full Generic wiring loom harness with various optimisation options for connecting Emerald aftermarket ECU to 4 cylinder engines. I randomly touched my signal wire across the circuit board onto different points initially with no results and then Hey Presto the Rev Counter had life I was ecstatic with joy and found a new lease of enthusiasm to get this Byatch working.

It’s possible the tacho is simply not compatible, but hopefully I can adjust the ecu output rather than having to replace with a new tacho. I didn’t have the engine running but had the ignition on full and the Ecu hacho with Rpm Tell Tale so if there was any life it would show on the rev counter.
I’m now fitting the setup onto my mk2 gti 16v which was running an abf on kjet. Main positive and negative input and what I assume is the original coil feed. Vehicles I see in the field along with input from the repair shops, that I work with, would suggest most looms inside the car are usually intact and pretty robust providing there has not been a lot of human intervention and alarm installations are emwrald rushed. ToyotecApr 10, The loom towards engine bits in Pauls car would be replaced anyway and having seen his car at several of our shows it is not that bad.
