I understand that the macbook pro has a built in cam isight but it’s very inconvenient that you cant change the position of the cam. Tried downloading the newer driver. Tried trashing the app pref file.

You can get further advice by calling them aton your dime of course. If you need an external camera and have nofebook of these, any Mac-compatible, Firewire equipped, mini-DV camcorder will work.
